Hoover's Active Bookmark - Company Search
Now you have access to the world's best business information and insight at the touch of a button.
With Hoover's new Active Bookmark application you have two options for the most comprehensive business intelligence available. Find financial information, company history, executive biographies, and more in just a few short steps.
At specific company websites, simply click the bookmark button and you'll be directed to that company's data sheet or relevant information. For searches from general web pages, highlight the company's name and click your bookmark to access Hoover's database. To get started, simply follow the steps below:
Instructions For Installing Hoover's Active Bookmark (a.k.a. Bookmarklet)
To install the Company Info active bookmark:
Internet Explorer
- Right-click this image and choose "Add To Favorites":
- IE will open a security alert that reads "You are adding a favorite that may not be safe. Do you want to continue?" Select "Yes." (Don't worry, it really is safe content!)
- IE will open the "Add a Favorite" dialog. Choose "Links" in the dropdown labeled "Create in:" and click "Add."
- You should now see the "Company Search" Active Bookmark on your Links Toolbar:
To make sure the Links toolbar is visible on Internet Explorer, right-click on the toolbar (the area above the main browser window) and see that Links is checked. If necessary, you can uncheck Lock the Toolbars in the same menu to move the Link bar and display all of its links.
Firefox
Simply drag-and-drop this image to Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar:
Alternately, you can right-click the image above and choose "Bookmark This Link...," then select "Bookmarks Toolbar Folder" from the dropdown labeled "Create in."
